Food Tidbit for the Holidays Chestnuts are a great
treat during this holiday season. They are low in fat and 10 kernels
contain 4 grams of fiber. They can be roasted or grilled and
are used in soups and stuffing. Eat them with grapes and pears but
in moderation. Since chestnuts are starchy, diabetics need to eat
them in moderation--as they would eat potatoes.
