5 Steps To Increase Well-Being

Mild depression is  more common is women than in men. This is due, in part, to the  hormonal fluctuations during the lifespan of women. Here are five easy steps to living with and managing mild depression for men and women.

Exercise–affects the brain, elevates mood, vitality and feeling of well being.  Exercise can act like an antidepressant for individuals with mild depression.

Meditate and deep breathe– helps reduce stress, improves cardio health and decreases anxiety.

Eat nutrient rich foods–multi-colored fresh fruits and vegetables will provide the body with the nutrients that will rejuvenate, repair and build the defenses the body need for neurotransmitters to function adequately. Hi nutrient diets support wellness. Protein rich foods can boost alertness.

Act with gratitude–it is important to focus on what we have and let others focus on what we don’t have.

Support–Connect with family and members of our community and networks. Verizon has its network and connects. No dropped networks there. The process of nurturing friends, family and helping individuals in need will also help us, the giver. This process  takes the focus off  self.

Eat and exercise your way to a state of well being by combining all five steps!
